My background has always been Agriculture. I grew up on a family farm outside of Souris, went to University and came back and became part owner on the farm. I ran an Ag Retail for over 2 decades prior being approached with the opportunity to work for Thunder Seed (a brand I had already been promoting for more than 10 years when it first was brought into our area). I was looking forward to being part of a company with integrity and great core values and am happy to have made the transition to the Sales Team.
Something about Thunder people may not be aware of is the core group of owners has been the same for 25 years when Thunder Seed started and every variety offered for commercial sale is grown on their farms first – before it is offered for sale to the public.
My favorite Soybean for this area is TH87003R2X. It has proven itself to be a high yielding consistent variety and gives you the option to spray Xtend chemistry. With weed control and chemical usage becoming a growing issue this Soybean would easily be a good fit on any farm operation. My favorite corn is 4126RR for silage – its been around long enough to be counted on as reliable, offers great feed value and heavy tonnage!
Scouting fields and combine rides are usually highlights through the growing season with dealers and growers. I love watching the crops grow and being part of the process.
